Hey! I have seen that it says transcluded templates are not allowed in signatures, but are substituted templates allowed?

:I don't see much use in substituting a template as part of your signature instead of just modifying the signature itself, considering it is inserted in its entirety every time you type <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> anyway. : Seems like asking for trouble. Only you can alter your sig in your Preferences, but if you subst it from another page, anybody could edit that page. A bad actor could replace your sig with their own, someone else's, or with an altered version of your sig that violates policy.
