The current version of the article says that the Kervaire problem has been announced by "Michael Hopkins (jointly with Hill and Ravenel)."  There is no justification for breaking the standard convention of crediting coauthors in alphabetical order, and the way the sentence is written inevitably relegates Mike Hill and Doug Ravenel to an unjustified secondary status.  While I am aware that the talk in which the result was announced was given by Michael Hopkins, the sentence should still be rewritten to give all three authors equal credit (and listing Mike Hill first).
