== Species and extinct species == Courtesy link: [[Hypoponera]] just wondering if the diveristy should be 156 (total species) or 154 (total living species) with an additional statement addressing the 2 extinct species [[User:FranticSpud|FranticSpud]] ([[User talk:FranticSpud|talk]]) 19:24, 16 March 2026 (UTC) :I would be inclined to have the infobox read "Diversity: 154 (living), 2 (extinct). It might also be mentioned in the text that, (as the linked reference says) there are also 22 recognised subspecies. :By my count the actual list in the article runs to only 149 species (including 2 marked as extinct).
