Today I came across this user after they submitted Draft:Rotunda of St. George, Skalica to AFC, which returned a high result from Earwig . Comparing the two paragraphs showed that anything that wasn't a directly copied from the source was a close paraphrase of it, for example: {{textdiff|Article: The Rotunda of St. George was constructed in the southern section of the hillfort courtyard. Following the establishment of the charter town, it was positioned on the north-western fringe of medieval Skalica. In the latter half of the fourteenth century, as the town's defensive walls started to be erected, the promontory of the hillfort, along with the rotunda, was separated from the remainder of the hill by a ditch, resulting in a small mound that was significantly elongated in the east-west direction[...]|Source: Rotunda of St. George was built in the southern part of the hillfort courtyard. I checked a few of the recently accepted articles, and immediately found concerns by manually comparing them with Google Translations: * At Holíč windmill, from a machine translation of the : {{textdiff|Article:The technical equipment of the original mill has not been preserved, currently the mill has three floors and a propeller made of metal, but the blades are significantly shorter. I picked an older one at random, and found this one from November: * At Town Hall Square (Bardejov), from a machine translation of : {{textdiff|Article:The origins of the church trace back to the 13th century. The church’s patronage also originates from this era. Around 1206, Cistercian monks from Koprzywnica, Poland, established a monastery dedicated to St. Giles in this location. A royal deed from 1247, in which King Béla IV confirmed the Cistercian Order's ownership of extensive lands near Bardejov (referred to as 'Terra Bardfa'), includes the earliest reference to a church in this region. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Cistercians departed from this site in the latter half of the 13th century (approximately 1271). The construction of the church commenced in the mid-14th century, and the basilica was completed in 1415. Over the following centuries, the church suffered damage from fires, earthquakes, and bombing in 1944. The temple has experienced numerous reconstructions. In 1990, both church bells – Urban and Ján – were damaged and subsequently replaced by the bell Joseph, coinciding with the church's designation as Basilica Minor.|Source:The beginnings of the temple date back to the 13th century. I'm concerned that there will be many other instances of copyright violations and close paraphrasing that have been missed, due mainly to the fact that the editor is using Slovak sources.
