[[WP:INFOBOX|Infoboxes]] are subgroup of [[WP:TEMPLATE|Templates]], fixed-format tables designed to be added to the top right-hand corner of articles to consistently present a summary of some unifying aspect that the articles share and sometimes to improve navigation to other interrelated articles. Many infoboxes also emit [[metadata]] and are used by [[DBpedia]] for that purpose. The generalized infobox feature grew out of the original [[Wikipedia:How to read a taxobox|taxoboxes]] (taxonomy infoboxes) that editors developed to visually express the scientific classification of organisms. Please note that the purpose of this page is ''not'' to fill out an existing infobox with data, but to create a type of infobox that does not yet exist.
