The event received routine news coverage befitting the assassination of the leader of a militant figure. He was then replaced and history went on. It didn't changed the course of the war or regional dynamics. Compare with the level and depth of coverage and analysis of the [[2024 Hezbollah headquarters strike]] or the [[assassination of Qasem Soleimani]].
