Article is kind of a hard one for me so I'm willing to pull this nomination if enough people say I'm wrong about this. Subject was the president of the University of Nanking in 1897 but I'm not 100% sure if that's enough for to pass [[WP:ACADEMIC]]. I did [[WP:BEFORE]] but wasn't finding anything else to support this article, maybe there are sources in Mandarin? Also there are only three sources, the first source is an introduction to a collection of papers at Stanford, the second is from findagrave.com which is not a reliable source, and the third is a primary source for an appoint as vice consul to China.
