Nordisk Film Are Not ‘The Owners’
[edit source]Nordisk are ‘minority owner’ shareholders, the (privately held) controlling shareholders are the original team of developers that founded the company.Inadvertent Consequences (talk) 20:12, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
Controversy Section?
[edit source]It seems Supermassive is a repeat offender for pretty heavy handed racial slurs and cultural appropriation. I have not seen a formal article on it, but there are numerous complaints online about using a racial slur for the Romani people in its latest game: The Quarry.[1][2][3][4] And one of those links mentions that the prior games did similar things for Indigenous peoples. I'm not well researched on this so I can't find too much information right now, but this seems worth mentioning in the article? BlinksTale (talk) 04:14, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- We should only add these if they are covered by reliable sources and formal articles. OceanHok (talk) 16:28, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
Co-founders have stepped down
[edit source]According to this [5]. Can this be added? Timur9008 (talk) 12:29, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
- User:IceWelder,User:OceanHok should we wait for some news outlet to pick up the story? Timur9008 (talk) 12:38, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
- For now, this is just a legal/formal change: Nordisk owns Supermassive, so having Nordisk representatives as legal directors for the company they control makes sense. It was so with Rockstar Dundee: Take-Two bought the company and appointed its own directors while the former Ruffian directors still run the business at the studio. The only real difference I can see in this case is that this Graeme Law fellow has a track record in liquidating companies, indicating that Supermassive may be shut down or restructured, but that's just my interpretation. - Hmm, apparently Game Rant has already reported (based on a LinkedIn post) that the pair is indeed stepping down and Robert Henrysson taking over as CEO. IceWelder [✉] 12:59, 1 February 2024 (UTC)

Merge proposal
[edit source]I'm proposing to merge List of games by Supermassive Games into this article. It's pros are a reworded version of the intro and history section of this article, the list of games itself does not seem substantive enough to have its own article. Having said that, there is some missing context in this article that I believe is notable to bring over here, the texts should be carefully merged, as well as a number of sources. - Oppose Valid navigational list, as most of their games are individually notable. No different from everything else at Category:Video game lists by company. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 12:17, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose As the creator of the list, I still feel as I did in 2024 when I made it, that the games have enough notoriety on their own and that the table was starting to get long enough that a split was fine to do. The list went through FLC soon after creation and no big concerns with its existence were brought up then, which I think would have happened if there were any major concerns. -- ZooBlazer 20:41, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
